- This afternoon Tom, Kathy and I went to see the oncologist
- He was as happy as I was that he chose the right combination of chemo
for me
- He's very encouraged that the tumors are shrinking
- He also said that when tumors are shrinking it's unlikely that any
cancer cells are spreading to new locations, so we have it on the run
- If I can stand the side effects, he wants to continue with these two
chemo drugs for two more cycles and then do another round of CAT scans
- My blood counts are normal, so I'm all set to start another cycle
of chemo tomorrow
- Tom told the oncologist that he didn't know what he was missing if
he had never slept with a bald woman wearing ear muffs!

- We went to the oncology center at 10:00 am for my chemo
- Six hours later we were done
- They had to slow down the drip again because my blood pressure was
rising
- That's OK, I got lots of work done on my latest book, Tom got lots
of reading done, and you should see what Kathy was up to!
- She crocheted a new wiggie and knitted a matching scarf for me today
- Here I am with Kathy, modeling my new furry accessories
- I've had some abdominal pains this evening and my face and neck are
flushed, but so far so good

- Well, I can tell that the chemo is working!
- I feel as though I have arthritis in every inch of my body today
- Doc Tom says "It's Friday" and that's so true - the Friday
after I have chemo on Wednesday is when the pain starts
- I took a pain pill and it's beginning to work, so I'm feeling better
now
- This will pass and it helps to know that it's killing off those cancer
cells

- Had chemo today
- This was the second week of my cycle, so I only had Gemzar
- Other than a small rash and few aches and pains, doing fine
|

- I told the pains that they had to take a rain check this week, because
I have babies to see!
- Audrey Lane and Peyton George were born today
- These beautiful twins belong to my granddaughter, Evie, and her husband,
John
- Here's Audrey waving hello!

- Here's Peyton getting to know his great-grandma
- The twins came a little earlier than everyone planned, so they'll
be in the hospital for a couple of weeks
- Audrey just couldn't wait any longer to come out and see everyone
- Mommie Evie is doing fine and will go home on Sunday
- Evie's dad (my son) Tony is flying in from Los Angeles tomorrow to
spend some time with his brand new grandbabies
- Wonder what Madi will think of all this?

- I'm feeling good today, just tired legs, so I've been doing very little
- I'm pretty lucky - I have two grown men are caring for themselves
and for me!
- Tom and Tony are doing a good job of looking after me
- Here's a photo of our four generations: Mom Evie and Grandpa Tony
holding Audrey and Peyton

- Although this was supposed to be the first week of my new chemo cycle
(which usually includes two chemo agents) I was only able to get one
chemo today
- Since I'm having so many reactions, the oncologist is showing respect
to my body by giving me another week before double dosing me again
- Next week I will get both Taxol and Gemzar
- March 8 will be my next round of CAT scans to see how my tumors have
disappeared!
