• I found a lump in my left breast today

• I had a mammogram, which showed an ill-defined mass
• Biopsy was recommended

• I had an ultrasound to detect the core, which reported a high probability of malignancy
• Biopsy again recommended

• Samples were taken from the tumor and surrounding tissues with a core biopsy
• A diluted dose of Lidocaine was used to numb the area and I had no allergic reaction
• A stainless steel marker was put in the area of the tumor
